Who we are
We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.
The IKTARA Foundation is a non-profit organization which is based in Delhi and was officially registered in 2019,with a mission to empower underprivileged communities through education, health and livelihood initiatives.
We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

Our mission is to make sure all young people and children get all the support they need, when they need it, no matter what it is Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

IKTARA Foundation's vision is to empower communities and individuals to lead sustainable and fulfilling lives.We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.
Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.

Dr. Vartika Rao, PhD (IIT-ISM Dhanbad), M.Tech (MNNIT), is a former Associate Professor with over a decade of experience in engineering education, research, and leadership. Specializing in optical circuits and systems, she has contributed to advancements in telecommunications and computing. She has chaired the IEEE sponsored ICCCCM 2013 conference and held key academic roles. Now, she is dedicated to social impact, leveraging her expertise to drive meaningful change through NGO work, embodying a deep commitment to education, empowerment, and community service.

Experienced civil engineer and educator with expertise in structural analysis, environmental engineering, and sustainable construction materials. Holds an M.Tech in Civil Engineering from UPTU with published research on self compacting concrete. Skilled in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and MS Office. Passionate about bridging academia and industry, with teaching experience at RKGEC and AIMT. Actively participated in national engineering competitions and faculty development programs. Dedicated to social causes, having worked with an NGO for one year.

Dr. Iti Dikshit, Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering, NIT Kurukshetra), has 16+ years of academic experience specializing in composite materials, industrial automation, and Industry 4.0. She has published 13 research papers, holds four patents, and has contributed to multiple book chapters. A former Assistant Professor at Maharishi Markandeshwar University, she has led NAAC & NBA accreditation, student mentorship, placements, and academic coordination.

Dr. Dinesh Chandra, a distinguished academician with 40+ years of experience, served as a Professor at MNNIT Allahabad. He has supervised 15 Ph.D. scholars, guided 80+ M.Tech. students, and published 70+ research papers. He held key administrative roles, including Dean (International Affairs) and Head of multiple departments. His expertise spans Model-Order Reduction, Optimization, and Entrepreneurship Development. With international exposure across the USA, UK, China, Spain, and Singapore, he brings a wealth of knowledge in Electrical Engineering, research, and academic leadership.

He serves as a national speaker for Vishwa Jan Chetna Trust, India and holds the position of Vice President at Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad.
